CENTRINI

ACRILICO E CENTRINI DI CARTA SU TELA

50 x 70

ACRYLIC AND PAPER DOILIES ON CANVAS

50 x 70

On a canvas suspended between dream and reality, color turns into emotion and matter becomes memory. White, with its delicate nuances, welcomes strokes of blue that traverse the surface like silent rivers—paths of the soul, traces of thoughts chasing one another and dissolving. Small accents of green emerge shyly, like shoots of life, while copper highlights hold glimmers of light and distant memories. Paper doilies, fragile and precious, seem to hail from a suspended time: fragments of an ancient memory, echoes of patient, gentle gestures—of hands that wove together threads, moments of waiting, and dreams. Once part of everyday life, today they transform into poetic presences, light imprints resurfacing on the canvas like memories that never quite faded away.

Paper meets color; delicacy engages and merges with the strength of the gesture; the regularity of patterns yields to the freedom of brushstrokes. Each element finds its own space in a spontaneous balance—much like in life, where encounters, emotions, and fragments of the past intertwine to shape our story. There is no predetermined path, nor a single direction to follow. The eye allows itself to be guided by blue diagonals, lingers on the intricate openwork patterns, loses itself in the nuances, and perhaps finds something intimate and familiar.

It is a painting that speaks in a whisper, imposing no meanings but allowing sensations and emotions to surface. It reminds us that even the fragile can leave a mark, that every fragment holds a story, and that even the simplest objects can be reborn, transforming into poetry. For art is, at its core, precisely this: it gathers the fragments of time, weaves them together with emotions, and brings them back into the light in a new form—one capable of speaking to the heart and bestowing unique, sometimes indescribable, emotions.
